Neurocognitive Decline

Neurocognitive Decline encompasses many diseases including dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s. Although there have been some advances with different pharmaceutical products, these have by and large not impacted disease progression. However, there are promising results from non-standard of care therapy that have been researched.

Alzheimer’s Disease
Alzheimer’s disease and type 2 diabetes has been theorized to be connected via a metabolic syndrome with impaired insulin signaling and insulin resistance, enough that some have called Alzheimer’s “diabetes of the brain” or “type 3 diabetes.”
