Gregory L. Howard, MD — Co-founder

Dr. Howard is a board-certified Anesthesiologist with a passion for learning. He graduated from Ferris State University with a Pharmacy degree, and moved to Houston, Texas, to help re-organize the Memorial Hermann Operating Room pharmacy. He and his colleagues saved the hospital over a million dollars in the first year. He began doing clinical research with an Anesthesiology staff physician, and was accepted to the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. During medical school he continued to engage in clinical and pharmaceutical research. Dr. Howard completed a year of Internal Medicine Internship, followed by an Anesthesiology Residency. During this time he received a patent for a “Combination Anesthetic Mask and Oxygen Transport System”. He remained on faculty at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston before transferring to private practice. Throughout his 25 years as an anesthesiologist Dr. Howard served in many leadership roles. He was Medical Director of CyFair Surgery Center, Chief of Anesthesia at Cypress Creek Hospital, Woodland Springs Hospital and North Cypress Medical Center.

Dr. Howard became interested in health and wellness after suffering his own near death experience with a rare side effect from a blood thinner. This drove him to explore the etiology of wellness, nutrition and supplements.

Dr. Howard says his two proudest achievements are reversing his father’s Stage 3 lung cancer using the Abscopal Effect, and the detection of his wife’s malignant melanoma and ovarian cancers at Stage Zero using liquid biopsies. This passion for health, wellness and the metabolic impacts on disease and cancer, as well as athletic performance drove the formation of Hippocrates Research Foundation.
